TourneoBox, for sale now

I designed this handy camping kit for the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect/Volkswagen Caddy Maxi 7-seater.

The TourneoBox fits exactly behind the (folded) 2nd row seats and uses the full interior width of 119 cm. The bed is 119 cm wide by 180 cm long. If you want a longer bed, order the TourneoBoxLong version measuring 119x200 cm.

By keeping the top flush with the folded second row seats, you can sit upright on top without the need for a pop-up roof.

At the rear, the TourneoBox contains two 40 x 60 cm lockable drawers, compartmented to your choice. Two compact suitcases fit under the drawers on the left and right, supporting for a tidy journey.

Store long objects and a compact jerry in the center bay.

At the front right, the base contains a recess for the Boxio Toilet (not included). By flipping the right seat forward and taking off the hatch, you can use it any time.

Mounting Instructions

1. Remove the rear seats from the car.
2. Place the Bottom Plate at the back on the ground, and mount the four bulkheads A to D with bolts + nuts in the T-holes. 3. Place the triangles L and R on the outside of baffles B and C. Attach with a bolt + nut.
3. Place the whole thing upright and click the Front Bottom Plate (with the Boxio recess on the front right) to the Back Bottom Plate.
4. Attach the Front Base Plate to the dividers A-D with 4 bolts + nuts.
5. Open the tailgate and place the assembly on the floor, just in front of the belt points.
6. Guide the rear roller belts along the base plate (lift the buckles). Now slide the whole thing forward into the car until the Rear Bottom Plate comes just past the sill.
7. Prepare the Fixer by turning the J-bolts out to the maximum. Hook the bolts through the openings in the middle of the Front Base Plate over the bars in the front seat points underneath.
8. Place the long spruce slats in the recesses in the partitions A-C. Place the short spruce slats in the bulkheads C-D.
9. Place the Front Top Plate (2 parts) on the baffles A-D and install the bolts.
10. Screw the short spruce slats to the front right lid (check that the slats connect; on the long spruce slats).
11. Place the Top Plate Rear on the bulkheads A-D and install the bolts.
12. Glue the drawers together.
13. Attach the latches on the back of the drawers with 4 small parkers. Behind the “Tourneo” cover plate, mount a latch + guide to the left, on the drawer “Box” to the right.
14. Slide the drawers into the back of the Box, “Tourneo” on the left, “Box” on the right. The bolts slide to the outside and then fall into a recess in the baffles A or D.

Pack up. A folded Caddy Flap Tent fits between the Box and the 2nd row of seats on the left. To use the dry toilet, fold the right seat in the 2nd row forward and lift the small lid to access the toilet box.
